Betsey is a dedicated and experienced Licensed Certified Dental Assistant who has been an essential part of the Smile Associates team for an incredible 31 years. A proud graduate of Monroe Community College, Betsey has continued to expand her knowledge and skills through ongoing continuing education throughout her career. Her passion for dentistry and genuine care for patients have made her a beloved member of the team, and she treasures the strong bond she shares with her coworkers. Betsey’s commitment, professionalism, and positive spirit have left a lasting mark on both her colleagues and the patients she’s served.
Outside of the office, Betsey cherishes time with her loving family—her husband, daughter, and two granddaughters. She enjoys camping, traveling, gardening, and crafting, always finding joy in the little things and making the most of every moment. As she looks ahead to her retirement at the end of 2025, Betsey is excited for the next chapter. While she will deeply miss her team and the rewarding work she’s done, she’s looking forward to spending more time with family and working on home projects.

Cassie, CDA
Cassie has been part of the Smile Associates team since 2011 and has obtained her certificate and license as a dental assistant. With over a decade of experience, she brings a genuine passion for patient care, taking pride in helping patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their dental procedures. Outside of her professional life, Cassie is a loving wife and mother to two wonderful girls.
She enjoys spending quality time with her family, making memories, and cherishing moments together. Cassie has a deep love for animals, always finding joy in caring for them. In her free time, she is an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities like hunting, camping, and traveling.

Chelsie, CDA, COA
Chelsie is born and raised in St. Lawrence County; she is a 2006 graduate of Heuvelton Central School. She went on to Monroe Community College where she earned her certificate to be a certified licensed dental assistant; she is also a certified orthodontic assistant. Chelsie has 18 years of experience and 13 of those years she has been with our team. Chelsie enjoys helping people; and to see the joy that a new smile brings someone. Chelsie understands that for many dental anxieties exist; She is there to answer any questions and to make your dental appointment as easy and comfortable as possible. She enjoys spending time at her camp with her family, gardening and watching her boys play sports; especially baseball.

Aneta O'Shea, CDA, FAADOM
Office Manager
Aneta joined Smile Associates in 1990 as a dental assistant shortly after graduating high school. She quickly grew to love dentistry and placed great value on the relationships she built, not only with her patients through compassionate care but also with her team members, cultivating a sense of collaboration and mutual respect. In 2006, she earned her Dental Assisting degree from Monroe Community College. With her broad experience in various dental office roles, Aneta was the ideal candidate to step into the Office Manager role in 2008. Her commitment to both personal and professional growth led her to earn a Fellowship with the American Association of Dental Office Managers in 2019. Aneta is committed to fostering a culture of trust, integrity, and fairness, always treating her team members and patients with the utmost respect and genuine care. Together with her high school sweetheart, she has raised three wonderful daughters who continue to make them proud every day.
